Automated Daily Crime Report & Newsletter
Local safety intelligence shared with 1,000+ subscribers every day
Crime Data ≠ Safety Intelligence
The Bellingham Police Department publishes incident data daily, however, the raw feed makes seeing the full picture nearly impossible for the residents it actually affects. Our insight: passive transparency wasn't translating into active intelligence.
Key Pain Points
- Official crime data didn't offer safety insights
- No geographic visualization
- Inability to correlate incidents to patterns
- Passive transparency failing to inform communities
Daily Intelligence Reports
Recognizing the gap between publicly available incident data and everyday understanding, we developed the Bellingham Scan - an automated daily newsletter & online report that helps Bellingham residents see what's happening across the city. Organizing incidents by location, timing, and type, the Bellingham Scan turns scattered data into a clear, day-to-day public safety intelligence. Since our launch in November of 2025, we've seen tremendous support from our local community and are preparing to deploy the framework throughout communities across Washington.
